100% Shiraz
The Sleeper Shiraz is made from vines grown in the Franschhoek Valley. The grapes were harvested by hand early February and placed into small crates.
Fermentation took place in open fermentation tanks using 50% whole bunches. Two punch downs were done daily whilst the wine underwent fermentation, with the grapes being pressed gently after 30 days. Barrel maturation took place in 100% new French oak barrels for a total of 24 months before blending and bottling.
Opulent dark fruit is supported by aromatic notes of spice distinctive to Shiraz. The wine is textured, layered and showing elegance and refined structure.
